Today I want to talk about us, about our beginning, about how we started to create our project Insolid Corten Bcn, a project that is now a reality. We have existed for some years and we continue as excited as in the beginning.
Insolid Corten Bcn was created in 2014 by Marc Baro and Silvia Serra. We are both partners, we have two children, and we have started this business in full maturity.
Marc has worked for many years in the world of television, but in his free time he has dedicated himself to work with his hands. A restless, creative person with a great ability to build with his hands. Since I’ve known him, he’s been messing around at home, fixing things and decorating spaces with his ideas. For many years now he decided to venture with iron, a material that has always attracted him, and for some years he used a metalworking workshop to learn about the blacksmith’s trade, from which has been derived in the creation of iron furniture. According to him, iron is a material that allows you from scratch to create a useful object. As you can guess, Marc is the artisan who builds with his hands the furniture of Insolid
Silvia, who is me, I worked some years in the world of advertising, later on issues of social assistance. Explain the work we do in Insolid has been my task, and the management of communication and administration as well. I like to organize, managing, helping and working with social networks.
We have been working together for more than 4 years and it has been a challenge. We form a good tandem that complements itself, and the Insolid project has given us the possibility of creating a dream in reality.
To this team joins our friend Joan who in times of hard work helps us. He is a person with sensitivity, creativity and ability to create.
Our business is an artisan workshop of handmade furniture with soul. We specialized in manufacturing furniture made of natural iron or rusty corten steel, combined with other materials such as wood, glass, leather or copper.
We like to work directly with our clients, shape their ideas, and create very personal tailored furniture. Turning them into unique and unrepeatable pieces that last over time.
