Today we give you a route through the summer markets of Girona and the Costa Brava that we like the most. Here you will find markets for all tastes with a wide range of options. If you are lovers of the latest fashion trends, food, antiques or just want to walk outdoors in areas with great charm, this markets are ideal to visit.

  1. White Summer in Pals

It is a unique market of trends in creative commerce, gastronomy and leisure of author. It is celebrated from August 3 to 25, from 6pm to 1am, in the Serres de Pals, in the middle of the rice fields of the Montgrí natural park. It can be found from stores of the most exclusive brands to craft stops, food trucks, concerts and varied activities. An oasis of creative freedom, inspiration and pleasure for all the senses in a spectacular 17th-century farmhouse.

  1. Medieval Market in Castelló d’Empúries

It is considered one of the best Medieval markets in Catalonia. A large number of artisan and merchant stalls sell their products of the time with the payment system of the medieval Empúries county coin, an essential requirement to acquire all kinds of cash products that are recreated. It is celebrated from September 6 to 8.

  1. MonEmpordà

It is an itinerant market where you can buy local, organic and quality products directly from the producer. There is also a space for art, workshops, conferences… Every day, after the market, you can eat an organic paella or fideuá made at the moment! Every 1st Saturday of the month in Rupià, every 2nd Saturday of the month in Corçà, every 3rd Saturday of the month in Verges and every 4th and 5th Saturday of the month in Torroella de Montgrí. In summer the schedule is from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

  1. Ramona Fair in Banyoles

On summer Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. you can enjoy a ride on Lake Banyoles while creators and artisans from different disciplines of the arts and gastronomy exhibit their works and products at various stops.

  1. The Santa Market in Santa Cristina d’Aro

From July 19 to August 25, from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. (Friday and Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.), this exclusive market is held within the Horse Club enclosure, which becomes a showcase for shopping, street food, drinks, daily concerts, DJs, workshops and family activities. A market with soul.

6. Medieval Besalu

During the first weekend of September, this unique medieval town returns a thousand years ago to transform its historic center into the former Besalú County. These two days the whole town breathes the influence of the Medieval Fair: the streets, the shops, the buildings, the walls.

  1. L’Encant de l’Empordà in Verges
